Son of George Alfred Harrowby and of Mary Harrowby (nee Gordon) of Auckland City, New Zealand.
At 17.28 hrs on the 7th November, 1941, Wellington B.Ic , T2516, of 99 Squadron, RAF, took-off from RAF Waterbeach for an operation to Berlin, Germany. At 20.10 hrs the Bomber crashed at Smalbroek near Beilen.
The crew, in which F/O Harrowby was the observer, perished in the crash.
